‪#‎OromoProtests‬ this morning the Federal First Instance Court offered to release Addis Ababa University students on bail of 2,000 birr.

However, students rejected the offer asserting they committed no crime and arrest for no reason, hence they deserve compensation rather being asked to post bail. They further told the judges that it should be leaders of TPLF who stand in their place with hand cuffs for crime against humanity and corruption. They were whisked away back to jail. They shouted to the judges saying ‘lets rot in jail like thousands of other Oromia, but be assured that the millions who remain outside will continue the struggle’. The judges shook their head and left the chamber.The 20 students are expected to be transferred to Kaliti Prison tomorrow.
