Several dead in explosion in Damascus

Syrian state television report that 13 people were killed and 70 injured in an explosion in central Damascus.

According to the opposition Syrian Observatory Human Rights (SOHR) killed nine civilians and three policemen in an explosion in Damascus on Tuesday, and the death toll is feared to rise. It was not immediately clear what caused the explosion.
